Hello Lovely, I’m Kate Lux.
I dream of being able to join the renaissance of making postpartum care a normal thing for every mother, everywhere.
My journey into nurturing and mothering started when I was about two years old. I have always dreamed of being a mother! And I have always loved taking care of everyone! Now my husband and I have two beautiful babes. Christopher is four and Emilia is one! They are my light and joy, and my dream come true!
When I experienced my fourth trimester after having Christopher I was left feeling abandoned by the doctors with a 2nd degree tear and lots of stitches. Breastfeeding was painful. And I didn’t know how, or who, to ask for help. It was a hard and painful period in my life. So when I was expecting my second baby I prepared by reading a lot of different books to be better prepared for my fourth trimester. I was also fortunate enough to have a midwife that offered frequent postpartum visits. Taking care of myself, being prepared, and having help made all the difference in my fourth trimester!

Why You need me as your Postpartum Doula
Some Mothers are born with an intuitive skill of mothering. They know their voice and the best thing for their baby. Other Mothers need to learn how to listen to their intuition. With me taking care of you, it takes away a layer of the pressure so you can focus on your new role in life, motherhood.

The skill of listening to your intuition, and learning what your individual baby needs is easier than it seems in those first days. I’m here to nurture you in this new role, and help you find confidence listening to that inner voice.
nourishing
Every baby is different and will have different needs. But it’s so much harder to fill those needs when you are depleted and overwhelmed. I am here to make sure YOU are nourished, comforted, and cared for so that you can do those same things for the beautiful life you just brought into the world!
